Chimney Stack Rebuild
The chimney stack to this grade II listed building, in particular the stonework, was very badly eroded and was beyond repair.
It was systematically taken down being careful not to damage the beautiful handmade bricks which were placed to one side for re-use. (Thats the beauty of lime mortar, bricks can easily be removed and cleaned to be used again.)
The stonework was replaced being careful to match the original with the brickwork being reinstated on top, again laid on lime mortar.
The chimney pots were placed back on top and flaunched in place with Singleton Birch eminently hydraulic lime mortar.
